So who is UFP?

Probably the biggest current mystery in the NJ dance community since the first rumors of FR3SH Dance Company’s last performance and eventual disbanding at Funkanometry’s Sockhop 2010 is the sudden appearance of a NEW NJ based dance team, entitled UFP. Coincidence? You can think so, Sherlock.

Not much is known about this up and coming team except for the fact that they’re from Central Jersey, specifically from Monmouth county, and that their starting base — directors and interested dancers involved in the budding project — claim to  be familiar dancers we’ve all seen and danced with from our local tri-state area dance community — we suspect, central Jersey/south Jersey/PA, and maybe some NYC dancers (nothing confirmed, yet as identities are still unknown).

The 2nd mysterious director of UFP

Their only clues are the pictures of well photoshopped mugshots of their “directors” who could possibly pass for…female? Who knows. Their only available information is located on their tumblr: and their facebook page:

Despite their unknown nature, UFP is having auditions to add to their team. Apparently, all will be revealed on JULY 24th. I think there hasn’t been this much hype around a team since LeBron James and his free agency this year.

SO What do you think UFP stands for?
