the OPPORTUNITY workshop, vol 9 – NJ

From the myspace:

“The Opportunity Workshop is a chance to give other dancers to express themselves. To teach, to show their own style and to experience a workshop with other well known choreographers. The Opportunity Workshop gives a chance and help to bring those up and coming dancers make a name for themselves. We also bring well known dancers that always wanted to collaborate together finally have a chance to teach together for the first time or reunite. The Workshop travels the bay area giving everyone the chance to come to the workshop and support the cause.”

Since then, the opportunity workshop has traveled up and down the west coast, and has finally made it to the EAST COAST, in New Jersey! Founded by Ian Halili of the Funkbrella family and directed by Valerie Reganit of Boogiezone (Jayvee-Alhambra) and Main Ingredient, the workshop has gained much momentum and success since its first workshop last year on March 14, 2009. Vol. 9 featured at Rhythmolgy’s Creative Image studio in Bergenfield, NJ, will feature a nice balance of East meets West choreographers on June 5th.
