You’ve got to admit, since the end of 2009, and the dawn of 2010, the EAST COAST, starting with the Tri-State area scene, has been more OPEN and ACCEPTING towards inter-team choreographer workshops — workshops featuring choreographers from OTHER TEAMS. The advent of SYNERGY annual local community workshops and BOOGIEZONE NJ Community classes has brought about a new welcomeness: sharing our very own choreographers with everyone else. This new movement has lead to great notables such as FR3SH’s diverse WINTER INTENSIVE line up, as well as Project D’s FIRST of the MONTH community class series featuring choreographers from local teams in the area.

GENUINE DANCE COMPANY follows suit with no exception, offering a series of workshop classes featuring diverse choreographers from Central/South Jersey (and NYC).

If this is a taste of the collaborations that are about to come in later in the year, then 2010 must be looking pretty sweet right now. Major props to GDC (as well as every team out there) trying to organize something involving their community. If you want to follow GENUINE DANCE Company, their links are below!

pD_style is a site originally conceived by the minds of Tai Nguyen and Myron Merced for the promotional and informational happenings to the community of the Project D Dance Troupe -- its dancers, members, friends, and family. The site, since its humble beginnings, has evolved to include an informational outlet about the East Coast Dance Scene and its continual progression on top of your Project D news.
