This event was the most amazing display of organized hip hop dancing in comparison to the olympics! The judges and coordinators took no joke with involving legends and leaders of the hip hop dance community. Members of the original Rock Steady Crew, creators of Popping and Locking, pinoneers of circles and dance floors from the past all came together to participate and support this important competition. In between all the preliminaries and practice were opportunities to discuss and ask questions on the elements of hip hop, dance and its evolution. In all my years of dancing, checking out bboy comps and all night raves, I would have never imagined that one day 27 different contries would have the opportunity to come together to celebrate their talents, creativity, skills and the artform known as dance. I am counting down the days and looking forward to next year

Members of the original Rock Steady Crew, creators of Popping and Locking, pioneers of circles and dance floors from the past all came together to participate and support this important competition. In between all the preliminaries and practice were dance workshops offered by acclaimed choreographers. Opportunities to listen and participate in discussion panels and forum giving attendees the opportunities to discuss and ask questions on the elements of hip hop, dance and its evolution. The energy and excitement was intoxication and inspiring. The group was able to congregate together to experience the culture of hip hop and dance, learn, celebrate, and acknowledge legends, leaders, icons and athletes from all over the world.
