Summer is done, and some schools have been back in session. When September comes around, it marks the advent of the new dance season! For all you aspiring dancers out there, it means auditions are everywhere (as well as workshops and special dance events!). If you want to join a team this season, there are plenty of opportunities for you this month — actually, this weekend! Peep the info below. *Heavy post!*
When August rolls around, it only means one thing for most of us dancers — BACK to SCHOOL! However, you and I both know that the schoolin’ to be the best dancer you can be does not stop…at all. This thursday March 5th, Static Noyze Hip Hop Dance Company is looking to expand the family for the mid year dance season. If you’re still a freelance dancer in the area looking for a dance fam to be a part of, then Static Noyze is your shot!
Interested in joining our crew? Here’s your chance! We are looking for men and women, 18 years or older, with prior dance experience to join Static Noyze Dance Company!
This in-class audition takes place on Thursday March 5th from 7:30pm-9:00pm at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in Boston. PLEASE CONTACT US ahead of time if you are interested in auditioning for the company. Dance resumes and headshots are welcome but not mandatory. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete a registration form. Callbacks will be held Sunday March 8th at 6:00pm at the Brookline Academy of Dance.

Culture Shock DC Company Class
Jemuel “JV” Valencia is teaching Culture Shock, DC’s Company Class. JV is a principal dancer and choreographer for Culture Shock, DC, former director of Major Definition, and member of TitoBoyScouts Crew.
Class is held at CityDance Center at Strathmore from 8:30pm to 9:45pm for $15. Please see the CSDC website for more details.
Have a Heart, Save a Life
A Celebration of Life & Art in Support of Suicide Prevention. Culture Shock, DC and DCypher Dance will be performing to support suicide prevention at the Rock & Roll Hotel at 8pm.
If you’re in the Baltimore AREA and you’re looking for something more than companionship, then you’re in luck. This Saturday, FEBRUARY 14th, Major Definition is having pre-audition workshops in the UC BALLROOM for their upcoming auditions. Take three different classes from Jake Naldo, Joe Naldo, and Paolo “P-Slice” Penala.
ITS JANUARY, and mid-season auditions are out! Recently, FR3SH held their mid-season auditions for the whole FR3SH Umbrella. Now, SERCis Company a.k.a SiC has their auditions coming up soon.
This up and coming dance company has been making news since its conception. This year, they’ll be well fitted for the next line of competitions in NJ with their new line up in the works.
IN THE NYC AREA? Looking for a team to dance with while in NYC? Then you’re in luck. E.P.I.C. Motion (formerly IFA Dance Team from NYU) are holding auditions Saturday, January 24th, 2009. Think you’re ready for what NYC has to offer? Then step your game up and bring it!

Combining all forms of dance from ballroom to Latin, hip-hop to jazz we strive to establish ourselves outside mainstream groups – as a group with a unique identity and style of expression.
